BEMP is an annual conversation between parliamentarians and industry leaders that showcases the relationship between Australian communities and their built environment. BEMP offers an opportunity to explore the economic, social, environmental and governance issues that influence national prosperity.
BEMP 2012 will consist of a welcome dinner incorporating the Australia Award for Urban Design on Tuesday 26 June and the full-day BEMP Summit on Wednesday 27 June 2012 in Canberra.
BEMP 2012 will focus on digital tools and the opportunities within the built environment profession to utilise new technology in innovate ways. The summit will focus on the COAG Reform Council report on Strategic Planning of Capital Cities; new approaches to community consultation; digital technologies such as BIM and 4D modelling; and will ask what’s the next revolution in building cities?
